For upper level recertifications such as Level 2 and Level 3, there are heavy team scenarios where a candidate may be asked to run a system such as a cross haul and lead the lower level candidates in the operation. Attending the full day is requested to ensure communication, verbiage, and technical methods are clear and understood between the upper level candidate and other candidates; thus avoiding a misunderstanding during the evaluation that can negatively effect the evaluation.
ARS is also looking to provide a broken up course for busy candidates. More self study is required, but if you have a good handle on the basic rope systems then a flexible schedule is provided to accommodate and help manage cost.
